Kithulgala Water Rafting Package with Jungle Trekking
A 5-kilometer Kithulgala water rafting package is a true adventure because it also includes a 1-hour jungle trek through the rainforest, kayaking in the Kelaniya River, and kithulgala water rafting. During the Kithulgala water rafting trip, you will travel in one of our opulent, air-conditioned cars in comfort.
Most importantly, because this is a private tour, there won't be any other guests, and you will have complete privacy the entire time. Depending on the size of your group, the automobile you receive may be a coach, mini-coach, van, or luxury car. However, the absence of overcrowding in a large coach ensures that you won't feel like a mere participant in a group tour—a welcome change.
Since Kithulgala water rafting is a highly sought-after activity, we decided to provide Kithulgala water rafting packages because of their popularity. We can easily deliver the service to every member of your organization, regardless of how many there are.
Adventure Lanka: Sri Lanka 5-Nights Tour
When the tour starts in Colombo, our car will pick you up from your hotel. If your pickup location is outside of Colombo, there may be an extra transfer fee. The tour typically begins every day at 7:00 a.m.; however, as it's a private tour, the pick-up time is negotiable. However, we strongly advise starting the tour early in the morning to ensure ample time for activities. Additionally, if you have more time, you can visit other optional tourist attractions like the tea factory and gem museum.
After a short drive, you will cross the Colombo city limits and enter the countryside, which is considerably greener. The further you are from Colombo, the less congested the roads are, and the shorter the trip time. Compared to Colombo and its suburbs, the countryside is far greener; along the route, you'll see numerous rubber plantations, coconut plantations, and parts of forest. Kithulgala and its environs are the island's top rubber-growing regions, so there are likely to be large, dark rubber plantations along the route.
Sri Lanka Adventure Tour With Hill Country And Beach
Three hours after departing from Colombo, you will arrive in Kithulgala town, a little village with few lodging options. The main reason we decided to make this tour a one-day excursion is the challenge of locating quality lodging. After a short break, it's time to begin your eagerly anticipated adventure experience at this first stop on the Kithulgala water rafting tour.
All admission fees, all ground transportation as specified by the itinerary, a driver/guide who speaks English, a local lunch and all taxes are included in the tour package.
Whitewater rafting in Kithulgala
We arrive at our adventure sports center, where we pick up all the gear needed for our white river rafting trip in Kithulgala, after a three-hour drive. Leaving our car behind, we climb into a four-wheel-drive Jeep and secure our life jacket and helmet tightly. To reach the whitewater rafting launch site, one must travel upwards for around thirty minutes. Following a half-hour trip, we have to walk through a village and jungle for another twenty minutes to get to the river. From here, your inflatable raft begins its descent, with all of your party members and a guide paddling simultaneously.
The package for whitewater rafting is an incredible, heart-pounding experience. Rather than strolling through the forest, it is best to view the Kitulgala rainforest's massive bulk from the river. Beyond many millennia, humans have lived there in wrecks, ruins, and rock paintings. They also refer to the nearby village's Belilena cave as "home." You can walk through the forest alongside small, winding trails and come across a wide variety of animal and bird life.
Due to the myriads of thrilling experiences this forest paradise provides, Kithulgala is known as the “adventure playground of Sri Lanka” and is an earthly heaven for adventure seekers. Rafting the Kelani River is one of the island's greatest thrills. The water rafting course on the Kelaniya River is approximately 5 km long, with 5 big rapids and 5 minor rapids.
Trekking through the rainforest
The Kithulgala rainforest resembles a tropical rainforest, making it one of the most valuable forest sections. The forest is home to a wide variety of animals, birds, and vertebrate species, and it is extremely rich in flora and fauna. The Kitulgala rainforest draws a lot of bird watchers, and it is one of the best locations to see birds. It is also home to numerous endemic species of avian wildlife.
It provides regular rainfall to the forest region beside the water-starved Kelaniya River. The rainforest journey takes approximately one hour, during which you can hike via the hanging bridge, the rainforest, and the neighboring community. The trek reaches its pinnacle when you arrive at the stunning waterfall, tucked away deep in the bush.
Kayaking in Kitulgala
In Kithulgala, the paddling topography varies greatly. At times, paddlers travel through a heavily forested area, and at other times, they paddle on a slow-moving body of water with large stones on either side. While many other keys are barely more than a lone sandy outpost amid a gin-blue ocean, their scant beauty is what makes them so appealing.
Kayaking at Kitulgala lasts approximately one hour and is appropriate for both novice and experienced paddlers. There are numerous picturesque spots during the 5-kilometer trek, including the massive rocks, sandy riverbanks, and the winding sections of riverbank woodlands.
As they are readily righted if overturned, open kayaks are the best choice for paddlers here, especially for beginners. That's why you'll be getting one. They are enjoyable, appropriate for the kind of conditions prevalent in Kithulgala, and not very fast.
